The Case for the Wool Overcoat

One coat, a decade of winters.

The Case for the Wool Overcoat

A good overcoat is the quiet backbone of a cold-weather wardrobe. It does the heavy lifting — over a suit, over knitwear, over almost nothing at all — and asks for very little in return.

We cut ours from a substantial wool melton with clean shoulders and a softly tailored body. The length falls just below the knee: long enough to feel considered, short enough to move in.

Buy once, buy well. A camel or charcoal overcoat is the rare piece that looks better the longer you own it.
